Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking an experienced Data Analytics professional to interpret data and transform it into actionable insights that inform business decisions. You will gather requirements, design reports, and support end users with clear, timely analyses that drive improvements across retail operations.

The role emphasizes data visualization, documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure reports meet business needs and are delivered with high quality and speed.

Qualifications

• 3 year related degree in a quantitative field is required
• Post graduate qualification advantageous
• 5+ years’ experience in Data analytics
• Retail experience preferred
• High level of mathematical ability with experience in SAS, AWS, SQL, Python
• Knowledge of Retail SAP architecture, implementation and operations
• AWS experience required
• Ability to analyse, model and interpret data
• Knowledge of complex IT environments (technical, security, business)

Responsibilities

• Execute the data visualisation and reporting strategy, policy and processes
• Gather and document business requirements
• Initiate and execute Project Establishment Initiation Activities
• Develop and design reports in a timely manner aligned to stakeholder requirements
• Transfer knowledge of designed reports to end users
• Deal with customers in a customer centric manner

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible to interpret data and turn it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions. Required to gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends and deliver to end user accurately, timeously and in an understandable format.

Minimum Qualification And Experience

• 3 year related degree (In a quantitative field i.e.: Information Technology, Data, Economics etc.) - non negotiable
• Post graduate qualification (advantageous)
• 5+ years’ experience in Data analytics
• Retail or relevant industry experience
• A high level of mathematical ability and experience in SAS, AWS, CLOUD, SQL and Python.
• Knowledge and experience of Retail SAP architecture, implementation and operations
• AWS experience required
• Ability to analyse, model and interpret data
• Knowledge of complex IT environments (technical, security, business)
