Placements24 is seeking a talented Category Manager for the Dairy & Chilled Foods portfolio in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. Lead category strategies, manage supplier relations, and collaborate with sales and marketing to drive growth and profitability in a perishable goods environment.

The role requires 4-6 years in FMCG category or brand management, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams across the business.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or related field.
• 4-6 years in Category Management or Brand Management within FMCG.
• Dairy & Chilled Foods experience preferred.
• Proven track record in developing and executing category strategies.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, market research and financial information.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and category management tools.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement strategic category plans to drive sales, market share and profitability for Dairy & Chilled Foods.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, procure products cost-effectively.
• Collaborate with marketing to create promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies.
• Work with sales to ensure effective execution of category plans at retail level.
• Monitor KPIs and provide reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure competitive product assortment and pricing aligned with demand.
• Manage inventory and minimize waste for perishable goods.
