Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager specializing in Cybersecurity to lead critical security initiatives from the Mahikeng office. You will partner with security analysts, IT teams, and external vendors to plan, execute and deliver robust cybersecurity solutions that safeguard digital assets.

The role requires 7+ years in IT project management, with at least 4 years in cybersecurity, CISSP/CISM/PMP desirable, strong risk management and stakeholder skills, and a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in IT project management, with at least 4 years in cybersecurity projects.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM), and best practices.
• Proven experience managing projects involving network security, data privacy, vulnerability management, or incident response.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• CISSP, CISM, PMP, or similar certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of cybersecurity projects and implementations.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources aligning with security objectives.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, security ops centers, and external vendors to deploy security solutions.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001 and other security standards.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and status to stakeholders at all levels.
