Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to bolster security at our Richards Bay facility. You will monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats, focusing on network security within a security operations center.

The role requires 2-4 years in cybersecurity, a Bachelor's degree, and hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls, and VPNs. You will develop security policies, perform vulnerability assessments, and provide security awareness training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related field.
• 2–4 years of cybersecurity or network security experience.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and systems for security breaches, intrusions, and other cyber threats using SIEM and IDS/IPS tools.

• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst to bolster their security posture at their Richards Bay facility. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats, with a primary focus on network security. You will work within a dedicated security operations center (SOC) to protect the organization's digital assets from evolving threats. This position requires a proactive approach to security, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure within a team committed to safeguarding the company's information infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and systems for security breaches, intrusions, and other cyber threats using SIEM and IDS/IPS tools.
