Job summary

Cashbuild Limited Sunrise store is seeking a General Assistant to deliver excellent customer service, merchandise stock, label prices, and maintain neat store areas. You will assist customers, resolve queries, ensure shelves are fully merchandised according to planograms, and keep aisles safe by clearing obstacles and reporting discrepancies.

The role requires Grade 10/NQF3 with 1 year related experience or Grade 12 with no experience, basic math, English and local language communication, and

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year related experience, or Grade 12 with no related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language of the area.
• Valid South African ID or work permit.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with queries.
• Merchandise stock and ensure shelves are fully stocked and labelled.
• Maintain housekeeping and store layout according to planograms.
• Keep aisles accessible, safe, and free of obstacles.
• Complete checklists related to duty, canteen, and facilities as required.
• Report discrepancies and damaged stock to Store Manager.
