Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Customer Network Support Engineer in East London to join the technical support team. You will be the main technical contact for enterprise clients, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues to ensure optimal performance of deployed solutions.

You will work with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other devices, providing proactive support while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for client network issues via phone, email, and remote access.
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.
• Analyze network performance data and client configurations to identify root causes of issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or engineering teams with detailed documentation.
• Develop knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides for common client issues.
• Conduct technical training sessions for clients on product usage and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network support or as a network engineer.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, and network security concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting network hardware and software from various vendors.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple support cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
