Job summary

City Lodge Hotels Limited is seeking a qualified cook to deliver high‑quality kitchen operations in line with brand standards. The role focuses on preparing meals, maintaining consistency, and ensuring guests receive excellent service that drives repeat visits.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant hospitality qualification, have at least 1 year of culinary experience in a brigaded kitchen, and demonstrate strong knowledge of food safety and OH&S. Shift work and long hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary/cookery qualification required or equivalent.
• Minimum one year culinary experience in a brigaded kitchen.
• Computer literacy with MS Office.
• Higher qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Achieves financial controls by implementing and maintaining all cost containment measures.
• Administers compliance with Food Health & Safety audit standards.
• Ensures adherence to Disaster Management & Occupational Health & Safety standards.
• Performs tasks in line with standard operating procedures.
• Operates equipment according to manuals and instructions.
• Identifies improvements to enhance product, service, productivity and efficiency.
• Maintains brand and group standards for consistent service.
• Maintains highest level of cleanliness, presentation and service to guests.
• Completes all operational and legislative training for SOPs.
• Upskills and develop personal growth plans.
