About the Role

Our client, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange operating globally, is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Cryptocurrency Compliance Officer to join their team. This role is designated as fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while collaborating with a distributed team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the company's operations adhere to all relevant anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC), and other regulatory requirements within the cryptocurrency space. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing robust compliance programs, monitoring transactions, and mitigating regulatory risks. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of financial regulations and the nuances of the crypto industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's AML/KYC compliance programs.
• Monitor cryptocurrency transactions and user activities for suspicious patterns and potential breaches of policy.
• Conduct risk assessments related to money laundering and terrorist financing.
• Prepare and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other required regulatory filings.
• Stay updated on the evolving regulatory landscape for cryptocurrencies and digital assets in various jurisdictions.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure comprehensive regulatory adherence.
• Respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies and assist in audits.
• Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in compliance, AML, KYC, or regulatory affairs, preferably within the financial services or cryptocurrency industry.
• Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations and best practices.
