Job summary

Smart4 Energy in Cape Town, Western Cape, seeks an experienced CRM & ERP Systems Specialist with SAP expertise to lead the support, optimisation, and continual improvement of enterprise CRM and ERP platforms. You will bridge IT and business, ensuring systems support finance, operations, procurement, and project delivery.

The role covers configuration, user support, integrations, testing, governance and training, with preference for SAP S/4HANA exposure in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8–10+ years’ SAP ERP experience.
• Experience in multinational or complex corporate environments is essential.
• Knowledge of ITIL service management principles and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional support across SAP ERP modules and related business applications.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Support enhancements, upgrades, testing, deployments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Due to ongoing expansion and system enhancement initiatives, they are seeking an experienced CRM & ERP Systems Specialist to take ownership of key enterprise applications and support business-critical processes across the organisation.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CRM & ERP Systems Specialist with strong SAP expertise to lead the support, optimisation, and continuous improvement of enterprise business systems.

This role will act as the bridge between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring CRM and ERP platforms effectively support finance, operations, project delivery, procurement, maintenance, and other key business functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for system configuration, user support, enhancements, integrations, testing, reporting, governance, and the rollout of new solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional support across SAP ERP modules and related business applications.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Support system enhancements, upgrades, testing, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage CRM and ERP system integrations across multiple business functions.
• Support month-end finance processes and related ERP activities.
• Monitor system performance, incidents, service levels, and vendor delivery.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and rollout activities.
• Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Support user access management, authorisations, and governance requirements.
• Drive master data governance and data quality initiatives.
• Assist with data migration projects and system implementations.
• Deliver user training and ongoing system support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years' experience supporting SAP ERP modules and enterprise business applications.
• Strong experience within multinational or complex corporate environments.
• In-depth SAP knowledge across Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Procurement, Inventory Management, Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, and Sales & Distribution.
• Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes.
• Experience with ERP reporting, dashboards, analytics, and data extraction tools.
• Knowledge of system integrations, testing methodologies, and change management.
• Experience with data migration and master data management.
• Understanding of ITIL service management principles.
• Knowledge of governance, compliance, and internal control environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• SAP S/4HANA exposure.
• Exposure to energy, utilities, infrastructure, industrial, engineering, or multinational environments.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and enterprise governance frameworks.
