RecruitMyMom is seeking a dedicated psychosocial support professional in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role delivers immediate crisis intervention and emotional support, conducts comprehensive psychosocial and care needs assessments, and coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams and community resources.

On-site with travel to clients’ homes and hospitals when needed. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling, SACSSP/HPCSA

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling.
• Professional registration with SACSSP or HPCSA.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience conducting psychosocial, financial, and home-based care assessments.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma containment, and safeguarding practices.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to perform home/hospital visits.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal engagement, and reporting.
• Commitment to confidentiality per POPIA and registration guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving, emotional resilience, and clinical judgement.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide immediate crisis intervention, trauma containment, emotional support, and safeguarding for callers and distressed individuals.
• Guide clients through available services, admissions processes, and documentation requirements.
• Conduct psychosocial, financial, and home-based care needs assessments via phone, in-person, home, and hospital visits.
• Evaluate referrals from multiple channels including telephone, email, and websites.
• Escalate at-risk matters promptly to authorities or external providers.
• Coordinate referrals to internal divisions and external community resources.
• Verify and process supporting documentation to enable ongoing service delivery.
• Maintain accurate electronic client records, intake docs, and case notes.
• Maintain records of inquiries, statistical reporting, and community resources.
• Engage in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
