Job summary

Fidelity Services Group's Nelspruit branch is seeking a Custodian to manage cash in transit operations, ensuring secure collection and delivery of clients' money and providing proof of delivery.

You'll train toward a Custodian role, take responsibility for receiving, sorting and distributing consignments, and report delays and incidents promptly while maintaining radio contact with controllers to prevent loss or theft.

Qualifications

• Clear criminal record.
• PSIRA accreditation with Grade C.
• CIT certificate.
• Firearm competency with handgun qualification.
• 2+ years’ experience in security or similar role.
• Clear disciplinary record.
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Train as a future Custodian.
• Full responsibility for collecting and delivering clients’ money.
• Receiving, sorting and distributing consignments.
• Report delays to the Branch Manager immediately.
• Incident prevention and reporting.
• Maintain radio contact with controllers.
• Take preventative action towards any suspicious activity.

Job Purpose

The above position is vacant at our Nelspruit Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to collect and deliver clients’ money and provide proof of delivery and collection.

Minimum Requirements:

• Clear criminal record
• PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C qualification
• Cash In Transit (CIT) certificate
• Firearm competency – with a minimum handgun (for business purposes) qualification
• At least 2 years’ experience in security industry or similar role (Advantageous at FSG)
• Clear disciplinary record
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage
• Able to work under pressure
• Physically fit
