Job summary

Mr Price Group Careers in Durban is seeking a highly organised Creditors Supervisor to lead the Accounts Payable function, manage supplier accounts, payments and reconciliations, and drive process improvements.

The role focuses on compliance with policies, accuracy of payments, month-end close across regions, and developing a high-performance team.

You will ensure timely payments, maintain supplier relationships, and provide accurate cash flow information to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Creditors or Accounts Payable environment.
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of creditor reconciliations, month-end processes, supplier management and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Review and authorise creditor payments within terms.
• Manage supplier master data including new supplier creation and amendments.
• Monitor and recover supplier debit balances timely.
• Review aged creditor reports and resolve outstanding items.
• Ensure all supplier accounts are reconciled and cleared before deactivation.
• Oversee monthly creditor penalties and adjustments and intercompany payments.
• Ensure payment journals are posted within prescribed timelines.
• Lead, coach and develop the Creditors team.
