Job summary

Qetello Holdings is recruiting a Transporter Creditors Manager to lead the Creditors Department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transporter payments, reconciliations and query resolution.

The role involves overseeing departmental operations, staff performance, transporter relationships, POD management, and compliance with policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 – Essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field – advantageous.
• Proven experience in a Creditors or Accounts Payable Management role.
• Experience within the transportation or logistics industry will be advantageous.
• Experience with creditor reconciliations and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the Creditors team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Manage staff performance, training, recruitment, disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.
• Provide regular reporting to the Finance Manager on outstanding queries, staff management and operational matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with transporters.
• Manage onboarding of new transporters and coordinate meetings regarding SOP requirements.
• Monitor and manage outstanding PODs and transporter queries.
• Oversee end-to-end resolution of creditor and transporter queries.
• Review monthly creditor reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Upload approved payments onto the accounting system, ensuring correct amounts and references.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement controls to minimise risks, errors, fraud and duplicate payments.
• Identify opportunities to improve, automate and optimise creditors processes and workflows.
• Work closely with the Finance Manager and other Creditors Manager to ensure effective operations.

About the Opportunity

Qetello Holdings is recruiting on behalf of our client, a dynamic organisation within the transportation and logistics industry, for an experienced Transporter Creditors Manager to lead their Creditors Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of transporter payments, reconciliations and query resolution, while overseeing departmental operations, team performance, transporter relationships, POD management, accounting controls and compliance.

This role is ideal for an experienced creditors/accounts payable professional with strong people management, analytical and relationship-building skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience within the transportation or logistics industry will be advantageous.




• Experience with creditor reconciliations and accounting systems.




• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.




• Experience with accounting systems such as Acumatica will be advantageous.
