Job summary

Nedbank is seeking a Manager Credit Risk Early Collections in South Africa to manage a dedicated portfolio of early collections accounts, applying sound credit risk principles to reduce impairments and rehabilitate customers. Daily contact with clients and bankers will drive repayment arrangements across all major product lines.

The role requires at least 5 years' banking experience in credit and collections, with a focus on arrears and excess accounts, and a relevant NQF Level 6 qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Credit role in a Banking environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience collecting Arrears or Excess accounts.
• NQF Level 6 in Finance or Credit-related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage default accounts timeously by obtaining acceptable repayment arrangements or handover portfolio to Legal collections.
• Ensure clean audit in area of responsibility by enforcing adherence to bank policies, process and procedures and industry regulations.
• Prepare portfolio review presentations based on MIS.
• Provide advice on specialized credit risk matters to sales.
• Propose innovations to enhance business processes that improve customer experience.
• Resolve client queries within turnaround times.
• Build relationships with bankers and provide upskilling on credit processes and documentation.
• Share knowledge with stakeholders and implement team strategies.
• Seek improvements to credit systems and adapt to legislation changes.
