Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative Visual Merchandiser for Centurion, Gauteng. The role blends in-store execution and design work to shape brand aesthetics and drive sales across multiple store locations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio, a solid grasp of design principles, color theory, and current fashion trends, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. A relevant degree is preferred and travel to stores may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Visual Merchandiser in retail.
• Strong portfolio of visual merchandising projects.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangement.
• Knowledge of current fashion and retail trends.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel to different store locations, including Centurion installations.
• A degree or diploma in Design, Marketing, Fashion, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement creative visual merchandising strategies for store interiors, windows, and displays.
• Develop and execute seasonal, promotional, and everyday visual merchandising plans.
• Create and maintain visually appealing product displays that maximize sales potential.
• Ensure all displays adhere to brand standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with store management and marketing teams to align visual strategies with sales and promotional goals.
• Source props and materials needed for displays.
• Train store staff on visual merchandising standards and execution.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest retail design trends and competitor activities.
• Manage inventory of visual merchandising materials.
• Contribute to store layout planning and product placement strategies.
