Job summary

ATS Client is seeking a Country Lead for FinTech/Startup/Mobile Payments in Cape Town. The role leads country operations, drives profitability with functional heads, and represents the business across multiple African markets.

The position offers hybrid flexibility and opportunities to travel to operating countries. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, or Engineering and 0–3 years’ experience or exceptional graduates.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Commerce, Science or Engineering university degree.
• Experience: Exceptional graduates welcome, or 0-3 years of professional experience in high-growth or socially impactful contexts.
• Entrepreneurship: Demonstrated experience of bringing a project to life and owning its outcome.

Responsibilities

• Practice Entrepreneurship: take ownership and solve commercial problems from day one.
• Manage country operations: lead country P&L with cross-functional heads to optimise performance.
• Connect across cultures: interact with teams across Africa and adapt to local contexts.
• Support with ad-hoc projects: contribute across sales, marketing, ops and people management.
