Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a cost and management accountant with 2–3 years of experience to join our team in Pretoria, South Africa. The role focuses on costings, analysis, and reporting across departments, with emphasis on accurate BOM data, trials, and post-launch profitability reviews.

The ideal candidate holds or is pursuing a relevant degree and will collaborate closely with NPD and factory teams, contributing to cost control and optimized profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in cost and management accounting, including analysis and reporting
• Preferably a B.Com or equivalent and studying towards CIMA/CA
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems
• Business Intelligence Tools experience advantageous
• Ability to multi-task with good time management skills
• Pay strict attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to collaborate with teams

Responsibilities

• Costings: Action costings accurately and timeously.
• Understand factors driving costings and provide useful insight into the process.
• Review and address concerns on costings and guide NPD in the development process.
• Attend trials and ensure that product and cost concerns are raised in advance.
• Communicate costings and reports clearly and effectively.
• Ensure the accuracy of ingredient and BOM-related tracking tools.
• Resolve queries related to ingredient tools.
• Conduct weekly deep dives on variances and report findings to assist in correcting issues or deviations.
• Capture and analyze Stock Take variances during month-end counts.
