Job summary

Merand Recruitment is seeking a Cost Accountant for a dynamic FMCG and liquor distribution client. The role focuses on costing, value chain maintenance, and ESG reporting support in a fast-paced environment.

You will maintain product masterfiles, assist with annual budgets and forecasts, and provide inputs for cost savings across transport and freight. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of working experience with value chain calculations/product costing.

Responsibilities

• Costing and value chain maintenance.

• Implement accurate price increases.
• Support Sales with value chain calculations.
• Assist with ESG data, CSI reporting, and year-end audits.

Job description

A dynamic fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and Liquor distribution business are looking for a capable Cost Accountant who thrives in a fast paced environments and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Costing and value chain maintenance
• Ensure that Product Masterfile in Excell is properly maintained at all times.
• Ensure that Product Masterfile is accurately and properly maintained on the ERP.
• Ensure that Price Increases are accurately and timeously implemented.
• Provide assistance to Sales Team with Value Chain calculations.
• Give input for cost savings (for example transport and freight).
• Assist with/attend to Product Masterfile and Value Chain queries.
• Assist with Foreign Creditors claims and recons, where required.

ESG reporting

• Coordinate and submit Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data and reports to Group.
• Ensure accurate and timeous reporting of ESG for all Countries.
• Reporting of CSI initiatives

Other

• Assistance with recording Performance Appraisal Ratings (Accuracy, timeous).
• Ensure that paperless filing system is properly maintained.
• Assist with all yearend audit queries relating to the Product Masterfile & Costings.
• Assist with Annual Budget and Forecasts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of working experience with value chain calculations/product costing.
