Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Cost Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing environment in Midrand. You will provide accurate costing information, analyse variances and support strategic financial decisions to drive profitability.

The role focuses on product and standard costing, cost and margin analysis, budgeting support, and collaboration with production, procurement and finance teams. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are essential.

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join a dynamic organisation where you will play a key role in providing accurate costing information, analysing variances and supporting the business in making informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product and standard costing.
• Analyse cost variances and investigate key drivers.
• Perform cost and margin analysis across products and operations.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, overheads and production expenses.
• Prepare monthly costing and management reports.
• Assist with stock valuation and inventory reconciliations.
• Analyse production performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with production, procurement and finance teams.
• Provide financial insights to management to support profitability and operational decisions.
• Maintain accurate costing models and ensure financial data is reliable.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting / Finance or related qualification.
• CIMA or studying towards CIMA will be advantageous.
• 2–5 years' experience in a Cost Accounting role.
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production or a similar environment is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience with an ERP system will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and engage with operational teams.
