Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join its manufacturing operations team in Richards Bay. This hybrid role analyzes production costs, manages inventory valuation, and contributes to pricing strategies.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and finance to optimize cost-efficiency and profitability on-site and on the factory floor. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Cost Accounting, 3-5 years in a cost accounting role in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Cost Accounting, or related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, CMA) is highly desirable.
• 3-5 years of experience in a cost accounting role, preferably within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation methods, and overhead allocation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed cost accounting systems and records.
• Monitor and analyze manufacturing expenses, identifying variances and recommending cost-saving measures.
