Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Cosmetics Manager for the Sea Point store to lead the cosmetics and beauty categories within the shop. Manage the promotion and selling of Dis-Chem cosmetics through excellent customer service and on-floor staff support.

You will ensure staff are available to assist customers and collaborate with the warehouse for stock planning and ordering, while maintaining high merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Minimum 3 years cosmetics/beauty retail experience.
• Experience supervising ~7 staff.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support sales staff under guidance of Store Manager.
• Ensure Cosmetic Consultants are allocated to right and relevant cosmetic and beauty products.
• Provide training and collect staff feedback.
• Ensure adequate staffing on the floor at all times.
• Manage stock control with warehouse coordination and ordering.
• Address customer compliments and escalate complaints when needed.
• Maintain merchandising and displays to high cleanliness standards.
• Ensure monthly promotions are carried out to achieve department targets.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge, brands and trends.

Minimum Requirements:
Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A minimum of 3 years’ cosmetics or beauty experience within a retail environment
• Previous supervision and/management of a staff complement of around 7
• Computer literate – MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• SAP experience
• Qlikview experience

Job Specification:
