Essential Job Functions

Copywriting for Marketing:

Create persuasive, action-driven copy for promotional materials, including website landing pages, email campaigns, social media ads, and product descriptions.

Develop catchy headlines, taglines, and CTAs that align with marketing goals and drive conversions.

Write compelling copy for ad and product launches to attract and retain customer interest.

Content Writing for Engagement:

Write engaging, informative, and value-driven content such as blog posts, articles, case studies, and guides that educate audiences and establish thought leadership.

Research industry trends, audience preferences, and competitive content to inform content creation and provide relevant insights.

Assist in the development of content marketing initiatives that support broader marketing strategies, driving traffic, engagement, and lead generation.

Participate in content planning sessions, contributing ideas that align with brands objectives and marketing goals.

Assist in shaping the content strategy by identifying content gaps and proposing new topics that resonate with the target audience.

Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, messaging, and strategic goals.

Participate in the creation of the monthly content calendar.

Brand Voice & Messaging:

Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across all digital content, ensuring alignment with company values and messaging guidelines.

Adapt writing style to suit different brands, formats, audiences, and marketing channels, ensuring the message is tailored and effective.

Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, SEO, and social media teams to understand campaign objectives and ensure copy supports marketing strategies.

Collaborate with designers to create content that complements visual elements and enhances the overall user experience.

Research & SEO Optimisation:

Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics, audience preferences, and competitive content to create high-quality, relevant copy.

Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation, including the use of keywords, meta descriptions, and internal linking to improve search engine rankings.

Conduct keyword research using SEO tools to inform content creation and optimise existing content for improved visibility and performance.

Fact-Checking:

Conduct thorough fact-checking and research to ensure that all content, statistics, and statements are accurate and credible before publication.

Verify sources and information used in content pieces to maintain the company’s reputation for providing reliable, high-quality information to its audience.

Content Editing & Proofreading:

Review and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and grammatical correctness, while also aligning with the brand’s tone of voice.

Proofread content to ensure it is free from spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.

Campaign Support:

Support marketing campaigns by creating both promotional copy (e.g., ad campaigns, email blasts) and informative content (e.g., blog posts, product guides) to drive audience engagement.

Analytics & Improvement:

Monitor the performance of digital content through analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure engagement, traffic, and conversions.

Use data-driven insights to refine future content strategies, optimising both copy and content writing efforts for maximum impact.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in relevant fields.

Experience: 4 years or more of industry related experience
