Job summary

Century City Law Firm in Cape Town seeks an experienced Conveyancing Associate/Associate Attorney and Conveyancer. The candidate must be admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer with solid experience in property transfers and client liaison.

The role manages files from instruction to registration and provides support on property matters. The successful candidate will liaise with clients, banks and Deeds Office, handle compliance issues, and ensure timely registrations.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer with 2–3 years post-admission experience.
• Solid experience in property transfers and conveyancing procedures.
• Experience with conveyancing software such as LexisConvey, GhostConvey or E4.
• Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to liaise with clients, banks, municipalities and Deeds Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage conveyancing files independently from instruction to registration.
• Provide legal support on property-related matters.
• Draft and review conveyancing and property documents.
• Ensure accurate file management and timely registration of transactions.
• Attend to compliance, transfer duties and rates clearances.
