Job summary

Freudenberg Nonwovens Pty Ltd, Cape Town, seeks a Production Operator to monitor production plans, document shift operations, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will work both independently and in a team, record activities in SAP where applicable, and perform shift handovers with accurate logs. Basic Excel skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric.
• Basic understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).
• Computer literacy and includes a basic understanding of Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operations to ensure production plan is followed and targets are met for optimum productivity.
• Ensure product meets qualitative and quantitative specifications per SOPs and address deviations immediately.
• Document shift operations and use SAP where applicable to record activities.
• Ensure proper shift handover by logging breakdowns, products and safety issues in the logbook.
• Apply all HSE safety principles and escalate issues as required.

• Monitor operations to ensure that the production plan is followed to meet standards to achieveoptimumproductivity of targets. (QKI, FTBY, SU, and SE)Refer toAnnexure Afor Standard Operating Procedures applicable to the assigned area ofresponsibility.




• Make sure product meets qualitative and quantitative specificationsas outlined in the Standard Operating Proceduresand escape any deviations or irregularities that do not meet requiredstandardimmediately.




• Accurately document shift operations throughout productionas per Standard Operating Procedures and SAP (where applicable).




• Make sure proper shift handover relating to breakdowns, products, safetyby documenting in the communication logbook.




• Apply all HSE safety principles,rulesand requirementsalways andescalate any issues or concerns.
