Job summary

DP World in South Africa seeks a load planning coordinator to oversee the execution of load plans, ensure timely deliveries and maintain compliance with procedures. The role involves directing drivers, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring accurate delivery documentation.

Ideal candidates will have a Grade 12 and a 3-year degree, with up to 5 years in a similar environment and experience with RTMS/TMS systems. This is a full-time on-site position in the Wes-Kaap region.

Qualifications

• Completed Grade 12 / Matric.
• Bachelor's or equivalent 3-year degree (NQF Level 7)

Responsibilities

• Execute own work and team work according to set operating procedures and service level agreements
• Execute own work and teamwork in line with governance and compliance processes
• Monitor and report on own and team's transactional activities to provide timely information for decision making
• Plan, coordinate and deliver own and team activities to ensure that agreed standards and operational objectives are met (daily to 3 months)
• Coordinate and participate in learning interventions to establish a learning and development culture within the team
• Coordinate and monitor daily work activities within the team environment in order to prevent financial losses
• Coordinate team activities to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations
• Brief and despatch drivers to execute load plans
• Conduct vehicle and driver inspections
• Debrief drivers, check and control delivery documentation
• Despatch drivers to execute operational transport plans
• Ensure adherence to vehicle maintenance schedules
• Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values

Job description

To coordinate and control the quality of the work activities of a team that executes a load plan for the cost-effective, on-time and in-full delivery of client loads, contributing to managerial decision making.

Experience and Skills Required

• Up to 5 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 2 years tactical leadership or specialist experience
• RTMS, TMS, Mix Telemetric experience.
