Job description

We are seeking a Contracts Supervisor

The incumbent will be responsible for the entire operations process on night shift operations and plan for the smooth and most cost-effective running of the department.

What We’re Looking For
  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 5 years Hygiene Cleaning Experience on a Supervisory level
  • Packhouse/food safety knowledge
  • Track record in management of skilled/ semi-skilled labour
  • Experience in Union negotiations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programmes
  • Able to implement change and plan for maximum cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Management of operational assets including stock, consumables, maintenance requirements of assets.
  • Responsible for planning and distribution of company assets to achieve maximum efficiency in servicing and collection/ delivery of stock.
  • Train, maintain and implement HACCP and BRC cleaning standards with regards to efficiency on site.
  • Staff recruitment, take on, medicals and manage all recruitment process in line with Sanitech and the mine’s regulations and procedures.
  • Staff HR & IR – On site
  • Issuing of daily work and reporting daily to site appointed line manager and Sanitech line manager on any variations from prescribed work.
  • Overall responsibility for Health and Safety in operations. Ensure that SHEQ file is up to date and managed daily and liaise with the mine daily to ensure that the company is always 100% compliant.
  • Recruit staff, performance manage subordinates, discipline, and dismiss in a manner that ensures that the company gets maximum productivity whilst not exposing the company to any risk.
  • Ensure staff are trained and motivated to assist them in growing and achieving goals in line with the company vision.
  • Manage clocking times and overtime daily, to ensure clocking accuracy and eliminate excess overtime.
  • Creating and maintaining Health & Safety, Sanitech and site files
  • Ensuring that all cleaning standards are in place on site.
  • Daily meetings are completed and recorded.
  • Weekly audits are done on work standards.
  • Daily checks on work completed.
