Job summary

Cape Peninsula University of Technology invites applications for a Lecturing position in Physics within the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The appointee will teach undergraduate Physics subjects, support learning and teaching, and contribute to research and community engagement.

Qualifications

Master's in Physics (NQF level 9) required.
At least two years’ relevant work experience, including at least one year lecturing.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate Physics subjects.
Develop reusable learning and teaching materials (e.g., lecture notes, practicals, tutorials, online content).
Perform academic and administrative duties in the Department.
Participate in curriculum development, particularly at postgraduate level.
Engage in research and produce DHET-accredited publications at a rate of at least 0.5 publication units per year.
Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department.
Assist with marketing and student recruitment activities.
Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
