Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd is seeking an IT Consultant to implement, maintain and enhance the bakery's IT systems, data integrations and ERP environment. You will translate client requirements into detailed project plans and guide cross-functional teams to deliver value across our bakery division.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and IT peers, driving improvements, cost efficiencies and automation using data and AI technologies in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of IT consulting experience.
• 5+ years with Microsoft Business Solution.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power BI, SQL Server and Azure.
• Familiarity with AI/data analytics advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and enhance bakery IT systems and integrations.
• Analyze client requirements and prepare detailed project plans with costing.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture on data and application delivery.
• Support ERP and related bakery applications and tools.
• Identify cost-saving and automation opportunities using data/AI.
• Ensure projects meet business needs and assess risks.

Role & Key Responsibilities

Your core focus will be to implement, maintain and enhance the functionality of the systems, integration, and applications of clients. To ensure that all systems that are developed and implemented for Bakeries.

Your Role Will Include

• Keep project plans up to date for all projects directly responsible for either as an individual or team leader.
• Implement new systems, upgrades, integrations and process improvements within the Bakeries environment.
• Take a detailed client brief, analyze the system requirements, and prepare a detailed outcomes-based project plan, including resource allocations and costing.
• Contribute to the design and configuration of application products and services delivery for the relevant division.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on the delivery of data and application architecture within the bakery's environment.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and to perform effective staff, infrastructure, and capability planning.
• Foster a culture of ongoing improvement, identify cost-saving and revenue-generating opportunities and using data and AI to automate processes.
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
• Ensure that products and services meet business needs and expectations as identified and evaluating risks involved.
• Support and improve ERP systems and other bakery applications and tools.

Other Competency Requirements

• Ability to work from home when needed, in a factory, heavy machinery and noise, etc.
• Travel (including out of town) is required and using own transport.
• Overtime from time to time is required.

Desired Qualifications And Skills

• Matric/ Grade 12
• Bachelor-level University degree, preferable a B.Sc., B.IT, B. Com)
• Certified in intermediate accounting principle.
• IT Consulting - 5-7 years
• Microsoft Business Solution - 5+ Years' experience
• Practical experience relevant to the above-mentioned certifications - 5+ Years
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Scrum Agile Framework, Power BI, SQL Server, Azure Services.
• Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis advantageous.
• Bakery experience in an IT environment will be advantageous.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve issues within projects/support with minimal support from other teams/external parties.
