Placements24 is seeking a diligent Construction Supervisor to oversee day-to-day on-site activities in the Bloemfontein area. You will lead a team, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and timely project progress on civil works projects.

The role requires a relevant Construction Management or Civil Engineering qualification and at least five years of supervisory site experience. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, with good knowledge of SA site

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or trade certificate with extensive experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience on construction sites.
• Experience in roadworks, earthworks or basic infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities per plans and specs.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
• Coordinate work of laborers, tradespeople and subcontractors for progress.
• Ensure workmanship and construction methods meet required quality standards.

You will be responsible for supervising a team of site workers, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring that materials and equipment are utilized effectively. Requirements

• Solid understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of South African construction site regulations and best practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Problem-solving aptitude and ability to make sound decisions on site.
• First Aid and Basic Fire Fighting certification is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.
