Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Construction Supervisor to oversee daily operations at sites around Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate trades, monitor progress, and uphold safety regulations as the client's representative on the ground.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Construction Supervisor or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.

• Direct and supervise on-site construction activities per plans, specs, and schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel for workflow and resources.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Supervisor to oversee daily operations at various construction sites in and around Port Elizabeth . This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing on-site activities, coordinating trades, monitoring progress, and upholding safety regulations, acting as the client's representative on the ground to ensure project success within the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and resource management.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues and challenges promptly, escalating critical matters as necessary.
• Maintain accurate daily reports on site activities, progress, manpower, and materials used.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor , Site Foreman, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
• Experience with quality control procedures and materials management.
