You will collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and procurement teams, focusing on schedule delivery, cost control, and risk management while maintaining design integrity and high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• 6+ years of construction project coordination/management experience.
• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Excel) and data tools (Power BI, Looker Studio).
• Experience in data analysis, cost tracking, schedule metrics, and trend reporting.
• Fluent English and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager on-site in Cape Town, South Africa to join our project team within the real estate development and construction business, focusing on boutique hospitality assets.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. You should be able to work independently on day-to-day tasks, coordinate effectively with the project team, and provide accurate reports and updates regularly.

You will be a member of a growing Project Management Office and will collaborate closely with the entire design and construction team, including architects, interior designers, structural and MEP engineers, the FF&E procurement team, and client representatives.

This role will focus primarily on construction execution, contractor management, and schedule delivery, with engagement in cost control, risk management, and project planning throughout the lifecycle.

We expect you to be fluent in English and proficient in software such as Google Sheets, AutoCAD, and Revit. Knowledge of procurement, tender management, contract administration, and construction processes is also required.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, be punctual, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.

Requirements

• Work Experience:
• Proven experience in construction project coordination, project management (+6 years)
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel, Google Sheets, AutoCAD) as well as data analysis (Power BI, Looker Studio)
