Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support major infrastructure and building projects in Richards Bay. You will assist project managers, review drawings, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with at least 2 years in a project engineering role, and have strong problem-solving abilities and site safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 2+ years in a Project Engineer or similar role in construction.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning and executing construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals for design intent compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor site activities ensuring engineering standards and quality.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation.
• Support site safety plans and quality control procedures.
