Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support major infrastructure and building projects in Richards Bay. You will assist project managers, review drawings, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with at least 2 years in a project engineering role, and have strong problem-solving abilities and site safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 2+ years in a Project Engineer or similar role in construction.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to contribute to significant infrastructure and building projects in Richards Bay . You will be instrumental in supporting project managers by overseeing technical aspects, ensuring projects adhere to design specifications, and coordinating engineering activities. This role requires a strong foundation in civil or structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a project team environment. You will be involved in the planning, execution, and monitoring phases, ensuring all engineering requirements are met to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning and executing construction projects, focusing on engineering deliverables.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent.
