Job summary

SET Consulting is seeking a hands-on Construction Manager to lead luxury hospitality projects in Tanzania’s most remote lodge locations. You will oversee site operations from mobilisation to completion, translate design packages into buildable work plans, and drive programme delivery.

This 2-year contract targets experienced leaders with remote-site validation, strong team leadership, and a commitment to uncompromising quality.

Qualifications

• Proven construction management experience on remote lodge, camp, or hospitality projects.
• Strong leadership and programme management skills.
• Ability to work independently in challenging, remote environments.
• Experience in East Africa is advantageous.
• South African citizens willing to relocate to Tanzania.

Are you an experienced Construction Manager with a background in remote lodge, camp, or hospitality developments?

We're looking for a hands-on leader to oversee the delivery of luxury hospitality projects in some of Tanzania's most spectacular remote locations.

Your role will include:

• Managing site operations from mobilisation to completion
• Translating design packages into buildable work plans
• Driving programme delivery and resolving on-site challenges
• Leading in-house teams and managing contractors
• Maintaining uncompromising quality standards
• Coordinating logistics, materials, labour, and site resources
• Acting as management's representative on remote project sites

We're looking for candidates with:

• Proven construction management experience on remote lodge, camp, or hospitality projects (essential)
• Strong leadership and programme management skills
• The ability to work independently in challenging, remote environments
• A commitment to delivering exceptional quality
• Experience in East Africa is advantageous
