Placements24 seeks an experienced Construction Foreman to lead site operations on multi-disciplinary projects in East London. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a diverse workforce, ensure safety, and uphold quality standards.

You will oversee daily activities, coordinate with site leadership, and mentor junior staff while driving progress in the East London area. A strong background in carpentry, bricklaying, or plumbing is valued alongside formal construction management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Foreman or in a supervisory role on construction sites.
• Proven experience overseeing multi-disciplinary construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations relevant to Eastern Cape projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers on site.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Direct the installation of various construction elements, ensuring proper techniques and materials are used.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment staging, and waste removal.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks on safety and project progress.
• Monitor site activities to identify potential problems or delays and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized construction site, adhering to all environmental regulations.
• Liaise with the Site Manager or Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and resource needs in East London.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior site personnel.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations relevant to Eastern Cape projects.
• Excellent leadership , communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the East London area.
