Job summary

A leading consultancy in renewable energy is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in Construction and Disputes in Cape Town. This role involves negotiating contracts, providing legal support for construction operations, and managing disputes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Law and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the renewable energy sector. This position requires strong legal negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in construction or asset management.
• Experience in Renewable Energy sector and FIDIC contracts is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage legal disputes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support negotiation of EPC, OEM, and O&M Contracts.
• Provide legal support to PCM and O&M teams.
• Lead external attorneys in construction contract disputes.
