Job summary

MSU Residential and Hospitality Services seeks a Snackshop/Concession Attendant to oversee food prep, serving, and inventory for the South Dining concessions. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years satisfactory experience in Food Service Worker level or equivalent training.
• Working knowledge of food ingredients and proper preparation/serving techniques.
• Willingness to work a flexible shift as scheduled.
• Effective communication with supervisors and teammates.
• Desire to deliver strong Spartan guest experiences.
• Ability to accept direction and implement improvements quickly.
• Excellent attendance and hygiene standards.
• Cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist in preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Oversee issuing, delivery, and verification of inventories.
• Assist supervisor with scheduling and duties of support staff.
• Set up and break down concession operations for events.
• Operate cash register and manage cash receipts during shifts.
• Transport personnel, materials, and equipment as needed for events.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions.
• Ensure proper storage of foods and supplies to prevent waste.
