Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic community outreach plans to increase program awareness and participation.
• Organize and manage community events, workshops, and information sessions, ensuring smooth execution and impactful delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders, organizations, schools, and other stakeholders.
• Represent our client at community fairs, meetings, and networking events.
• Create and distribute promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content, to effectively communicate program offerings.
• Identify community needs and trends, providing feedback to program managers to inform service development.
• Collaborate with the communications team to develop targeted outreach messaging and campaigns.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers for outreach activities as needed.Track and report on outreach activities, outcomes, and key performance indicators.
• Serve as a key liaison between the community and our client, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in community outreach, program coordination, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing community partnerships.
• Excellent public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in event planning and management.
• Strong understanding of the social landscape and key issues within the George, Western Cape area.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms for outreach purposes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Must be comfortable with a hybrid work arrangement, balancing remote tasks with in-person community engagement.
