Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Community Liaison Officer to foster constructive relationships with local communities near the Mahikeng mining projects. You will address concerns, convey project developments, and support social responsibility initiatives.

The role requires strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and dispute resolution skills to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, at least four years in community relations or social performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Development Studies, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or social performance in extractive industries.
• Proven ability to communicate with diverse groups including local authorities and community members.
• Experience in conflict resolution and negotiation.
• Understanding of social impact assessment and management principles.
