Placements24 is seeking a Community Health Program Coordinator to lead health and social programs in Tembisa, Gauteng. The role involves planning, implementing and evaluating initiatives to improve resident well-being and reduce health disparities.

The ideal candidate has a public health or community development background, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a passion for social impact. The role requires community engagement and collaborative partnerships with local stakeholders.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or related discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in program coordination, preferably in health or community sector.
• Experience in needs assessment and program planning.
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets and reporting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong networking and relationship-building within diverse communities.
• Knowledge of local Gauteng health landscape is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, manage and execute community health programs and outreach activities.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify health priorities in Tembisa.
• Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and healthcare providers.
• Secure funding through grant writing and resource mobilization.
• Oversee program budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and prepare reports.
• Coordinate volunteers and staff involved in program delivery.
• Organize health education workshops, screenings and awareness campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and organizational policies.
• Represent the organization at community meetings and external forums.
