Placements24 in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Community Health Programme Manager to oversee strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of community health initiatives in and around Pretoria. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements in access to health services for underserved communities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Public Health or related field, a Master's preferred, and at least six years of programme management experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local clinics, hospitals, government health departments, and other community stakeholders in the Pretoria area.
• Monitor programme performance, collect data, and conduct evaluations to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health regulations and organizational policies.
• Develop and manage programme budgets, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor programme staff and volunteers.
• Organize and facilitate health education workshops and outreach activities for the community.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, or a related health or social science field.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in public health programme management, with a proven track record of success in community-based settings.
• In-depth knowledge of public health principles, primary healthcare, and common health challenges in South Africa .
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in budget management and financial oversight.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
