Placements24 is looking for a dedicated Community Health Nurse to serve vulnerable populations in Port Elizabeth. You will deliver essential healthcare services, health education, and support within the community, focusing on improving health outcomes for underserved families.

You will work to address health disparities, promote preventative care, and connect clients with medical and social services, building trust in diverse community settings.

Qualifications

  • RN qualification required.
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in community health nursing or a related field.
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural competency.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and community resources in the Port Elizabeth area.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments, screenings, and basic medical treatments in community settings.
  • Provide health education on chronic disease management, maternal and child health, and infectious disease prevention.
  • Administer immunizations and prescribed medications as per protocols.
