Placements24 is supporting a Stellenbosch-based non-profit to recruit a Community Engagement Specialist. The role focuses on strengthening ties with diverse communities through outreach, partnerships, and integrating community voices into program development.

The successful candidate will design and implement outreach initiatives, organize meetings and events, and serve as a liaison to ensure two-way communication. Experience in non-profit settings and event planning is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in community organizing, outreach, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community groups.
• Experience in event planning and facilitation.
• Strong understanding of community development principles and challenges.
• A relevant degree or diploma in Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field is advantageous.
