The Department of Local Government within the Western Cape Government in Mossel Bay is seeking a capable candidate to inform and assist communities with access to government services.

The role requires Grade 12 and strong knowledge of public service policies, with a focus on community needs, participation, and effective communication.

You will compile progress reports, coordinate with relevant structures, and support local community workers to improve service delivery.

Formación

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent (NQF level 4).
• Knowledge of policies, legislation, guidelines, standards and best practices in the public services; understanding of communities in the Western Cape and their functioning; facilitating skills for public participation in policy making and service delivery.
• Strong project organisation, interpersonal, report writing and reporting; proven computer literacy (MS Office); self-management and adherence to timelines; written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Inform and assist communities in the Western Cape with access to services provided by government structures.
• Determine the needs of communities and communicate it to the relevant structures.
• Promote networks and enhance the activities of local community workers for improved service delivery.
• Compile reports on progress, issues attended to, actions taken and outcomes as required.
• Keep up to date regarding all services rendered by government and the processes to access the services.
