Job Description
The Communications department currently has a vacancy for a methodical, attentive to detail individual to join their team. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Installation, wiring and mounting of various electronic devices, machines or equipment
- Installation and programming of access control systems, CCTV cameras and motorized entrance points
- Installation, fault finding, relocation and fitment of all telecommunications
- Fitting and testing of data cables for all network points and power skirting
- Assist in moving offices and setting up PC's, Phone lines, and moving files
- Mounting, wiring and fitting grids for wireless infrastructure
- Day to day maintenance ,installation and servicing of security and data equipment
- Tool and equipment maintenance
- Adhoc activities as requested by Manager
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Semi-Skilled team members
- Housekeeping
- Understanding of and abiding by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Qualifying Criteria
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Relevant certifications or qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working within an electronic security field
- Basic electric/electronic ,CCTV ,intercom, data or alarm courses
- IP and analogue camera ,alarm, automation ,data cabling ,electric fencing ,intercoms ,UPS and Alternating Current electrical knowledge
- Knowledge of data cabinet wiring
- Knowledge and experience working with power toolsi>
- Valid driver's license
- Must be prepared to work overtime when required
