Placements24 is seeking a Communications and Engagement Specialist to amplify our mission in Paarl and strengthen ties with communities, partners, and media. You will craft narratives, manage channels, and mobilize support for initiatives from a remote setting.

You will lead content creation, oversee social media growth, and collaborate with teams to capture program impact while upholding brand consistency and messaging across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in communications, community engagement, or marketing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with storytelling ability.
• Proven experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content.
• Strong understanding of community outreach and stakeholder engagement principles.
• Experience in event planning and coordination.
• Proficiency in content creation tools; basic graphic design or video editing is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
