Job summary

Network Recruitment in Johannesburg is seeking a commercially minded process engineer to bridge technical solutions with customer needs. You will prepare proposals for water and wastewater projects, engage clients to determine requirements, and support business development with technical presentations.

You will conduct process evaluations and feasibility studies, perform design calculations, and liaise with engineering teams throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
• 3–5 years' experience in process engineering or water treatment.
• Experience preparing proposals, tenders or technical sales docs.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of filtration, RO, UF or wastewater treatment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare technical and commercial proposals for water and wastewater projects.
• Engage with clients to understand process requirements and provide solutions.
• Support business development with technical presentations and meetings.
• Conduct process evaluations, site assessments and feasibility studies.
• Assist with tender submissions, bid clarifications and negotiations.
• Perform process design calculations and mass balances.
• Prepare PFDs, process descriptions and technical documentation.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams during project execution.
• Provide process support during commissioning, troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Maintain customer relationships and identify future opportunity.
