You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a diverse fleet, ensuring optimal vehicle performance, safety compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves supervising drivers, coordinating maintenance schedules, and implementing fleet management best practices to support our client's logistics and transportation needs within Gauteng and beyond.
- Supervise a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules and company policies.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
- Monitor vehicle performance, fuel efficiency, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with all national and provincial transportation regulations.
- Manage vehicle allocation and route planning to maximize operational efficiency.
- Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles.
- Proven experience in fleet management or supervisory role within transportation.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Strong understanding of fleet management software and systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP) and appropriate driver's license.
