Job summary

Farm Manager SA is seeking a senior commercial professional to lead fruit marketing and logistics operations. The role involves driving citrus export strategies, managing customer accounts, and coordinating cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, a track record in export marketing, and the ability to work remotely with occasional travel. confidentiality and strategic thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, logistics, agricultural economics or business management at NQF level 7.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial management, fruit export marketing, logistics, customer account management or related capacity.
• Experience in citrus export marketing, fruit logistics, customer programme management or agricultural exports is advantageous.
• Ability to work remotely, after hours and weekends when required, especially during peak export season.
• Willingness for local and international travel for customer visits, market visits, logistics/service provider engagements and industry travel.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality and professional discretion due to access to sensitive pricing, customer, market, logistics and strategic information.
• Strong analytical, planning and coordination, verbal and written communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong people management and team development, as well as commercial negotiation abilities.
• Ability to interpret market, crop, logistics and customer information to support sound commercial decision-making.
• Ability to build and maintain sustainable customer and service provider relationships.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
