Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician for a Centurion, Gauteng project focused on new construction. The role requires installing and wiring electrical systems in commercial buildings, with emphasis on safety, code compliance, and efficient workmanship.

You will interpret blueprints, install conduits and breakers, perform load calculations, and collaborate with general contractors to ensure timely, quality work on site.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade qualification (e.g., Wireman's License).
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Commercial Electrician in new installation projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and installation best practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to work on Centurion, Gauteng sites and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components in commercial construction settings.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts and installation requirements.
• Install conduits, cables, circuit breakers, and other electrical apparatus.
• Perform load calculations and ensure all installations meet electrical code requirements.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with relevant safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and other tradespeople on job sites in Centurion, Gauteng.
• Complete daily work reports and documentation accurately.
